Ce înseamnă să fii mamă azi? În ce fel maternitatea trezește dileme puternice despre relația dintre muncă și grija pentru copii?
“Maternitatea m-a preocupat continuu în ultimi 7 ani prin prisma propriei mele experiențe ca mamă. Timpul alocat creației este foarte prețios în viața unui artist la fel și timpul acordat creșterii unui copil. Cum poți îmbina ca artist acești timpi absoluți care îți cer resurse nelimitate?”
“Pentru a afla răspunsul la această întrebare esențială în demersul meu creativ am vrut să descopăr cum se descurcă și cum s-au descurcat mamele de la sat să își crească copiii și familiile. M-am întors spre mamele care cunosc munca fizică grea, munca repetitivă, resursele limitate pentru că în ciuda tuturor problemelor ele reușesc să ofere totul familiei. Urmărind mamele din Hundorf în eseul meu vizual am descoperit răbdarea și demnitatea asumată cu care femeile din Hundorf își îngrijesc familile. Rodul întâlnirilor mele cu femeile din Hundorf este albumul foto <Mame de Hundorf>.”

Andreea Vintze pătrunde cu delicatețe în viața de zi cu zi a mamelor din Hundorf. Vorbește cu ele despre părțile bune, dar și greutățile pe care rolul de mamă și viața domestică îl presupune, mai ales într-o comunitate mică precum cea a satului. Căutările ei se concretizează în proiectul fotografic “Mame de Hundorf” prin care surprinde puterea și frumusețea interioară a acestor femei.
Andreea Vintze este absolventă a Masterului de Fotografie și Imagine Dinamică, la Universitatea Națională de Arte Plastice din București. Discursul ei artistic este construit în jurul relației corp - timp. Fotografiile ei invită privitorul să pășească într-un spațiu emoțional intim care aduce în prim-plan teme precum maternitatea, erotismul, feminitatea. Cu răbdare și empatie, ea reușește să își aducă subiecții în fața aparatului foto relaxați și dornici să își spună povestea. a participat la diverse workshop-uri organizate în cadrul Atelier 35, Spațiul Platforma MNAC și proiectul hibrid “Un perete 2”.

What does it mean to become a mother nowadays? Does maternity stir strong dilemma about the relationship between a woman’s working life and the care she has to provide for her children?
"Motherhood has preoccupied me over the past 7 years through my own experience as a mother. Time spent creating is very precious in an artist's life as is time spent raising a child. How do you combine these two absolute periods of time as an artist?"
"In order to find the answer to this essential question in my creative process I wanted to discover how the mothers from rural areas manage and have managed to raise their children and families. I turned to mothers who know hard physical work, repetitive work, limited resources because despite all the problems they manage to give everything to the family. Following the mothers of Hundorf in my visual essay I discovered the patience and assumed dignity with which the women of Hundorf care for their families. The fruit of my encounters with Hundorf women is the photo album <Mothers of Hundorf>."
Andreea Vintze gently steps into the ordinary life of the mothers who live in Hundorf. She shares with them experiences about the good and the hard parts this role brings everyday. Especially in a small village community.
Andreea Vintze is a graduate of the Master of Photography and Dynamic Image, at the National University of Fine Arts in Bucharest. Her artistic discourse is built around the relationship body - time. Her photographs invite the viewer to an intimate emotional space that brings to the fore themes such as motherhood, eroticism, femininity. With patience and empathy she manages to bring her subjects in front of the camera relaxed and eager to tell their story. Being in a permanent search for new means in contemporary photography, she participated in various workshops organized within Atelier 35, MNAC Platform Space and the hybrid project "Un perete 2".
